Semi-truck rear-ends pickup on I-44 near Bristow, killing 1

CREEK CO., OK – A 57-year-old man died Thursday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck along the Turner Turnpike in central Creek County.
According to KTUL News 8, the accident happened early in the morning just west of Bristow about 35 miles southwest of Tulsa.
Police say that a 2025 Volvo 18-wheeler rear-ended a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 carrying three people when the driver of the pickup truck slowed for traffic.
A passenger in the pickup truck became entrapped and succumbed to his injuries at the scene either before or following extrication efforts. Authorities identified him as Richard Arciga.
Neither the driver of the pickup truck nor the second passenger required hospitalization for their injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain injuries in the collision.
