Single-vehicle crash near Fort Gibson injures 2

FORT GIBSON, OK – A child and a woman were injured in a single-vehicle crash on East 60th St North at North 41st St East on Sunday, Muskogee Phoenix reports.
Mark Van-Velzor, 27, was driving east near the intersection of East 60th St North at North 41st St East when he took a turn too fast and slammed into a cement bridge.
First responders transported the passenger, Donna Hamilton, 22, to Saint Francis Hospital. The 4-year-old child, was taken to Saint Francis Children’s Hospital. Their conditions remain unclear as of this writing.
Police say Hamilton was not wearing a seatbelt at the the time of the crash. However, the child was properly restrained.
Van-Velzor was uninjured.
