Single-vehicle crash on EW 440 Road near Pryor kills 1

MAYES CO., OK – A driver died, and her passenger went to the hospital Wednesday after their vehicle crashed along a roadway in western Mayes County, reports News 8 Tulsa.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. on West 0440 Road, between North 4310 Road and US-69.
The investigation indicates that a 56-year-old driver, identified as Rhonda Collom, lost control of her eastbound vehicle while speeding, veered off of the roadway, and overturned multiple times.
Medics transported Collom and her 27-year-old passenger to the hospital, where Collom died. Her passenger was admitted with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
