CADDO CO., OK – One man sustained fatal injuries and another was hospitalized Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in northeast Caddo County, reports OKC Fox 25.

The incident happened in the morning along Old 66 Road near Bridgeport. This is about 53 miles west of Oklahoma City.

Police say that road conditions likely caused the driver of an eastbound 1956 Ford truck to lose control, leave the roadway, and hit a pole.

The driver, identified as 62-year-old Jimmy L. Wilhoit, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics also transported a 42-year-old passenger, identified as Clayton W. Adams, to the same hospital with critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
