Single-vehicle motorcycle crash at E Reno and S Lincoln injures OKC deputy

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A police officer went to the hospital Wednesday following a single-vehicle motorcycle accident just south of downtown Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident happened in the morning in the area of East Reno Avenue and South Lincoln Boulevard, which is just west of I-235 and north of I-40.

Officials say the deputy police officer encountered debris in the roadway and crashed after losing control of his motorcycle.

Medics transported the officer to an area hospital with non-critical injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Drivers likely encountered delays in the vicinity of the accident while medics attended to the injured officer and crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
