Slick roads cause injury crash near I-35 and I-40 in NE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials are reporting injuries in connection to a single-vehicle crash along icy roadways in northeast Oklahoma City on Wednesday, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident happened in the morning along I-35 near I-40. This is southeast of OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center and west of Eagle Lake.
Police say that roads were slick when the driver of a red pickup truck lost control of the vehicle. The pickup rotated before hitting the wall on the side of I-35.
Both occupants of the pickup truck sustained injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
Motorists likely experienced delays in the area of the wreck while crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
