Solo crash on Broken Arrow Expressway at Highway 169 injures driver

BROKEN ARROW, OK – One man sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash along the Broken Arrow Expressway on Friday morning, reports News 9.

The accident happened just before 2 a.m. at the on ramp to Highway 169, which is on the northwest side of Broken Arrow, about 14 miles southeast of Tulsa.

Police say the victim’s vehicle overturned after he struck a sign while exiting the Expressway onto Highway 169. It’s not yet clear what caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

Motorists likely experienced delays in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
