Solo crash on CR E 660 east of Southard in Blaine Co. kills woman

BLAINE CO., OK – A 63-year-old woman died Saturday morning in north Blaine County after losing control of her vehicle and crashing along a rural roadway.

According to KFOR News 4, the accident occurred around 9 a.m. on County Road E 660 just east of Southard, which is southeast of Canton Lake and northwest of Oklahoma City.

Police say the westbound driver veered off of the roadway after becoming distracted by the radio. The vehicle hit an embankment and spun, ejecting the driver, who died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Carla Schultz.

It is unclear if the other two occupants of the vehicle were hurt.

A full investigation is underway.
