TULSA, OK – A 26-year-old man died Friday evening after his vehicle crashed along the turnpike in Tulsa, reports KRMG.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. on the eastbound side of the Creek Turnpike at the exit for Riverside Parkway, which is just northwest of Jenks Middle School.
The investigation thus far indicates that for unknown reasons, the driver of a 2006 Ford Taurus lost control of his vehicle while attempting to follow a curve in the road, left the roadway, and crashed into a tree.
The driver died at the scene after being pinned in the wreckage for about two hours. Officials identified him as Randy Taylor.
Police think that both speed and wet conditions were factors in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
