Solo motorcycle crash on E 840 Rd near Stroud kills 1, injures 1

STROUD, OK – A 48-year-old woman died Sunday after a single-vehicle motorcycle accident along a roadway in east-central Lincoln County, reports OKC Fox 25.

The incident happened at 1:13 a.m. on East 840 Road just northeast of Stroud Municipal Airport. This is about 58 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

Police say that the 34-year-old driver was likely speeding when he lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway. The bike overturned, injuring the driver and killing the passenger.

Authorities identified the victim as Jennifer Jackson.

Medics transported the driver to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
