Solo rollover involving semi at 1-40 and I-30 in NE OKC injures driver

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A truck driver sustained injuries Friday in a rollover accident along the interstate in eastern Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident happened in the afternoon near the junction of I-40 with I-35. This is just south of Fredrick Douglass Park.

It’s not yet clear what caused the 18-wheeler to overturn along the interstate. At this time, it appears that no other vehicles were involved.

Oklahoma City Police say the truck driver became entrapped and required extrication. Medics than transported him to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Drivers likely experienced delays along I-40 in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
