TULSA, OK – One person went to the hospital Tuesday after crashing a stolen pickup along a busy roadway following a police chase in southeast Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.

The incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on the east side of South Memorial Drive, not far from Woodland Hills Mall.

Police say that they attempted to stop a stolen pickup truck near the mall when the driver fled and, ultimately, crashed after losing control of the vehicle and overturning along South Memorial Drive.

Authorities have not specified how badly the driver was hurt. They describe him as a juvenile and say he will face charges for evading police and having possession of stolen vehicle.

A full investigation is underway.
