WASHINGTON CO., OK – A 53-year-old woman died early Tuesday following a two-vehicle collision along the highway near Bartlesville, reports OKC Fox 25.
Emergency teams reported to the area of US-75 and W 2400 Road just after 3:30 a.m. This is just southeast of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
Police say that a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2015 GMC Sierra were involved in a T-bone collision when the driver of the Chevy neglected to heed a stop sign at the intersection. The crash impact ejected the driver of the Chevy and caused the vehicle to leave the highway and hit a pole.
The unrestrained driver of the Chevy died at the scene. Authorities identified her as Paula Zimmer.
The other driver did not require hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
