Teen girl hospitalized after rollover crash near SE 89th, Shields

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A teen girl sustained serious injuries in a major collision late Friday night on the south side of Oklahoma City, reports News 9.

Shortly before 11 p.m., emergency teams responded to a rollover accident in the area of Southeast 89th Street and Shields Boulevard, which is east of Will Rogers International Airport and just north of Moore.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause or circumstances of the crash except to say that a vehicle rolled.

Medics transported the 16-year-old victim to an area hospital with critical injuries.

It’s unknown if other vehicles and people were involved in the collision.

Drivers likely experienced delays in the area of 89th and Shields while crews worked to clear the scene.
