Teen killed, another teen injured in Luther rollover accident

LUTHER, OK – One teenager died and another was hurt in a rollover accident this morning involving excessive speed.
According to a story by News on 6, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on Covell Road, near North Indian Meridian, when the driver—a 17-year-old boy—lost control of his speeding vehicle.
The car rolled multiple times, ejecting the boy. His passenger, a 17-year-old girl, was not thrown from the vehicle.
The unidentified boy was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The girl, also unidentified, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of injuries to the arm. She was later released.
Both of the teenagers are students at Luther Public Schools.
