A 15 year-old boy was killed in an Oklahoma car accident Sunday in Kingfisher County.

According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Draven Cole Stewart was found dead at the scene of a crash about 1.5 miles west and 3.5 miles south of Kingfisher. Stewart was a passenger in a car driven by 18 year-old Dayton Lewis Culver.

Police say the accident happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. as Culver was driving south on a county road and lost control of the vehicle. Culver drove off the road, over-corrected, and the car slid before it overturned and rolled. Stewart and another passenger, 16 year-old Garrett Lee Stouts, were thrown out of the vehicle.

Culver and Stouts were transported by ambulance to Kingfisher Regional Hospital where they were treated and released.

Police say Culver was driving too fast on a dirt road.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.
