Three injured in two-vehicle crash on US-59 at S 580 Rd

DELAWARE CO., OK – Three people went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision along the highway in northern Delaware County Monday evening, reports KSN 16.
The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. at US-59 and South 580 Road, which is just north of Grove near The Lake Lodge at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees.
The investigation indicates that 31-year-old Jesus Lopez drove his vehicle into the vehicle ahead of him as the latter car turned northbound onto South 580 Road from US-59.
The driver in the second vehicle, identified as John Dameron of Afton, sustained critical injuries in the accident.
Medics also transported Lopez and a passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
