Three people were hospitalized after an accident caused by defective brakes, a February 26 article of KXII reported.

The accident took place at US-377 and County Road 1700, Tuesday night. 19-year-old Jace Lindsey failed to yield at a stop sign because his brakes were malfunctioning. This caused his pickup truck to cross the center line and collide with another pickup truck head-on. Lindsey had to be carried to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the other pickup truck was airlifted to hospital in Oklahoma City after being trapped for more than half an hour.
