Tire blow-out causes fatal motorcycle crash in NE Pittsburg Co.

PITTSBURG CO., OK – A 53-year-old man died over the Fourth of July weekend in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash along the highway in northeast Pittsburg County.
According to Ozarks First, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Sunday on the northbound side of US-69 at Exit 113. This is just west of Carlton Landing and south of the Canadian River.
Police say that a motorcyclist lost control of his northbound 2007 Suzuki Motorcycle after a tire malfunction and hit a guardrail on US-69.
The biker, identified as Aaron M. Lloyd of Nixa, died at the scene.
There were no additional passengers on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
The accident likely caused delays along US-69 northbound while emergency crews worked at the scene.
