Toddler fatally struck by semi on North Oak St in Bryan Co.

BRYAN CO., OK – An auto-pedestrian crash involving a semi-truck claimed the life of an 18-month-old child on Wednesday in southeast Bryan County, reports KXII 12.
Shortly before 9 p.m., emergency teams responded to a residential neighborhood along North Oak Street between Wade and Albany.
Police say that a 29-year-old truck driver started his 18-wheeler with the gear engaged, causing the truck to charge forward and hit a toddler.
The child succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident
Authorities are working to determine if the truck driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
