Train strikes, kills pedestrian at Britton and Western in NC Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police are investigating after a train struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon in the Britton area of north-central Oklahoma City.
According to KOCO News 5, the incident happened around 2:45 p.m. on the tracks that cross over the intersection of Britton Road and Western Avenue.
Authorities haven’t yet shared any details about the accident except to say that the pedestrian died. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the collision.
Officials say the train blocked the intersection while crews cleared the wreckage and investigated the crash site.
