Truck failure to yield resulted in death and injury

A semi-truck collided with a Trail Blazer in Beckham county, causing the death of one child and the great injury of another, News12 reported on June 28.
Reports coming from authorities said the fatal accident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on June 27 several miles away from Elk City. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the 18-wheeler failed to yield before it struck the vehicle containing Cathy Baker and her two daughters. One of Baker’s daughter, 11-year-old Keri Baker, died in the crash, while Cathy and her other daughter, 12-year-old Kelli Baker, were taken to the hospital. The driver of the commercial truck was reportedly not hurt in the accident. A charity fund website was created to channel donations to the Baker family.
