SAND SPRINGS, OK – One person sustained injuries Thursday when a semi-truck hauling energy drinks crashed along the highway in Tulsa County, reports News on 6.
The single-vehicle accident occurred sometime before 8 a.m. on the eastbound side of US-412 in the city of Sand Springs. This is about eight miles southwest of Tulsa.
Authorities say that wet roadways caused the driver of a truck carrying Red Bull to lose control of the vehicle. The truck rolled after hitting the median.
Medics transported the truck driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no other passengers in the truck at the time of the accident.
Officials closed the highway immediately following the accident to assist the victim and clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
