TULSA, OK – Officials with the Tulsa Fire Department were called to extinguish the fourth fire in the last two years to occur at an abandoned hotel along Route 66 Monday evening.
According to Tulsa World, the fire erupted sometime before 5:45 p.m. near Garnett Road and 11th Street. Officials acted quickly and were able to put out the blaze in a matter of minutes.
No one was injured as a result of the fire. However, witnesses say they noticed a Ford pickup truck leaving the scene shortly after the fire erupted. This is leading police to believe the fire may be the result of arson.
