TULSA, OK – A man is in the hospital after he was hit by a car whose driver he alleges was trying to steal property from his semi truck.
The incident transpired near 61st Street and Garnet Road Wednesday afternoon, according to News on 6. Witnesses say the suspect had stolen tools from the victim’s semi-truck and was attempting a getaway. This is when the man jumped in front of the suspect’s car and was struck, crashing through the windshield back-first and landing on the lap of a woman in the passenger seat.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery. However, the driver got out of his car and ran away on foot. He has yet to be caught.
The passenger was also transported to the hospital as she appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol or drugs to the point of being unable to stand or walk.
