A three-car accident on U.S 285 on Jan. 5, took the lives of two Conifer High School classmates.

Just after 7 p.m., the 16-year-old driver of a Honda Civic lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the center line and was hit by an SUV. The Honda began to spin and was stuck again by a truck. The driver and passenger in the Honda were both killed. They both had on their seat belts. The driver of the truck and another passenger in the Honda both suffered injuries.
