Two people were sent to the hospital after a DUI crash, a February 22 article of The Duncan Banner reported.
The incident happened around 7:34 PM Friday, at State Highway 7 at Eastland. 51-year-old Charlena R. Goodman was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup truck with 39-year-old Jesse G. Chisum when she failed to yield to a stop sign. This caused them to collide with a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas driven by 79-year-old Linda J. Clark with her passenger 84-year-old Fred D. Clark. Then, the Clarks’ vehicle went off the right side of the road and rolled over.
Both Linda and Fred Clark were taken to Duncan Regional Hospital. According to reports, Linda was in “good condition with trunk internal and arm injuries”, while Fred was in “fair condition with trunk internal, trunk external and leg injuries”. Also, police found out that Goodman was “under the influence of medication” and reported DUI as the cause of the crash.
