Two hospitalized after semi-truck falls off bridge, catches fire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Oklahoma City responded to an accident where a semi-truck rolled off a bridge and caught fire on impact early Monday morning.

According to KOCO, the incident occurred just after 3:30 am along the eastbound I-40 ramp to I-44. There were two occupants inside the truck when it rolled over, both were transported to OU medical center.

Authorities were forced to shut down the ramp for several hours while Fire officials put out the blaze and cleared the wreckage from the roadway. The ramp has since reopened.

No word on the condition of the two people inside the truck or how the crash occurred has been released yet. We will provide those details as they are made available by Police.
