Two-vehicle accident in Shawnee kills 1, injures 2

SHAWNEE, OK – One person died, and two others sustained injuries Sunday in a two-vehicle collision on the northwest side of Shawnee, reports Fox 25.
Emergency teams responded to the Shawnee fatality crash shortly before 1 a.m. near the intersection of OK-3W and 45th Street. This is just south of I-40 and about 40 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the accident or the manner in which the two vehicles collided.
One driver died at the scene. They’ve not yet been identified.
Medics transported the other driver and a juvenile passenger to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Drivers likely faced delays along OK-3W in the area of the crash while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
