U-Haul leads police in high-speed chase, three people arrested

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three suspects were arrested following a high-speed chase involving a U-Haul van, according to a report by KFOR.
The chase began in the area of Southwest 77th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and ended with the apprehension of the suspects at Southwest 47th Street and South Youngs Boulevard.
The accused drove a U-Haul van from speeds of 45 miles per hour to a maximum of about 70 miles per hour while leading police on the chase through the city.
At one point during the pursuit, one of the suspects tossed a gun out of the vehicle as it stopped in a residential neighborhood. The driver leaped out of the van to flee while the vehicle was still in motion but was nevertheless apprehended by law enforcement. Two other suspects were also taken into police custody.
One of the accused involved in the chase is believed to be involved with an alleged robbery.
