Update: 40-year-old man dies after Maud crash involving his wife

MAUD, OK – A 40-year-old man died after a rear-end crash involving his wife Saturday afternoon.
According to an update from KOCO, the man’s wife, 37-year-old Tamara Wood, had crashed into the back of her husband’s car while driving on State Highway 59. The man, 40-year-old Justin Wood, had lost control of his vehicle and drifted off the road.
The force of the collision led his vehicle to overturn. The force of the crash led Justin to succumb to his injuries.
Tamara remained at the scene and waited for law enforcement to arrive.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not been able to pinpoint how fast the couple was driving. A full investigation has been launched. Possible charges will be presented to the district attorney’s office once the investigation is concluded.
