UPDATE: Driver loses life to crash involving big rig in Oologah

OOLOGAH, OK – An SUV driver who was initially left in serious condition after a crash involving a big rig on Thursday, has since died, according to an update from Fox23.
The crash occurred before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Old U.S. 169 and South 4070 Road. New information reveals that the SUV driver crashed into the back of a big rig.
The big rig driver told the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that they stopped to allow another vehicle to turn right from Old U.S. 169 onto South 4070 Road. The SUV driver did not see the stopped truck and collided with it.
The SUV driver succumbed to his injuries a short time later. He has since been identified as 26-year-old Matthew Downing from Collinsville.
The truck driver was uninjured.
