Update: Medical examiner rules teen’s death as accident

DEER CREEK, OK – The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled Oluwatoyin Adewole Amuda’s death an accident, reports News 9.

The drowning occurred at home on the 21600 block of Villagio Dr on June 16th. Amuda was found unresponsive in the pool. He died despite CPR being performed on him by both bystanders and emergency personnel.

Underage drinking may have played a role in the drowning. The incident was under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
