Vehicle fire reported east of Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Fire and Emergency Services in East Oklahoma City reported a vehicle fire along Interstate 40 Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred on I-40 eastbound near South Harrah Road shortly before 1:30 p.m, according to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker. Officials have not reported any injuries as a result of the fire as of yet.
It is not clear what caused the vehicle to burst into flames. However, the situation is still developing. Authorities recommend motorists avoid the eastbound lanes of I-40 near Harrah Rd. throughout Monday afternoon as delays and closures are likely.
