Vehicle strikes, kills motorcyclist on 9th Ave at Choctaw Rd

DURANT, OK – A 23-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday night after colliding with another vehicle at a busy Durant intersection, reports KXII.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on the northbound side of 9th Avenue near Choctaw Road, which is northeast of the Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant.
The investigation indicates that the northbound motorcyclist struck another northbound vehicle while attempting to pass it.
The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. It’s unclear if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The other driver was uninjured in the crash.
