Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian at US-281 and CR 1410 near Apache

CADDO CO., OK – A 45-year-old woman died Sunday night after a vehicle struck her along the highway in south-central Caddo County, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and County Road 1410, which is north of Apache and southwest of Anadarko.
Police say that the woman was struck and killed by a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. It’s unclear if the pedestrian was standing alongside the highway or attempting to cross when the crash occurred.
There’s no word yet on whether the driver of the Chevy stopped to render aid and speak to police.
Authorities identified the victim as Tisha Pickard from Apache.
