Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian at US-81 and Hayward Rd

WAUKOMIS, OK – A male pedestrian died on Monday after a vehicle struck him along the highway in Waukomis, reports Enid News & Eagle.

The incident happened around 4:55 a.m. at the intersection of US-81 and Hayward Road, which is just north of Over the Fence Farms.

Responders found the victim already deceased on the center median of the highway. Authorities have not yet identified him to the public.

Police say that the driver involved in the accident remained on site to speak with authorities.

A full investigation is underway.
