Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian near NE 10th and N MLK Ave

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A vehicle struck and fatally wounded a pedestrian early Sunday on the east side of Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Northeast 10th Street, or JW Simmons Boulevard, and North Martin Luther King Avenue. This is just west of Fredrick Douglass Park.
Police haven’t shared any further details about the accident except to say that the vehicle may have been speeding when it hit the victim.
The pedestrian died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
It’s unclear if the driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with police.
