Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on I-244 at Sheridan in NE Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A 40-year-old woman died over the weekend after a vehicle struck her at a busy intersection in northeast Tulsa, reports News on 6.

The accident happened Saturday on the eastbound side of I-244 at North Sheridan Road, which is west of US-169 near McClure Park.

Police say the pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck carrying two people. It’s unclear if she was walking in the roadway or along the shoulder.

Authorities identified the victim as Crystal Cortez.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident did stop to render aid and speak with police.
