Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on NW 50th in Warr Acres

WARR ACRES, OK – A man died Saturday night in west-central Oklahoma County after a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway, reports KFOR 4.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of 5000  NW 50th Street in Warr Acres, which is just south of Dolese Park and west of OK-3.

The investigation indicates that the victim was crossing the road outside of a designated crosswalk after dark when an eastbound SUV carrying two children struck and killed him. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity to the public.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities. Neither he nor the two pediatric passengers were hurt.

The investigation is ongoing.
