Victim IDed in multi-car crash on US-81 near Ninnekah

GRADY CO., OK – A 74-year-old man died Monday in a three-vehicle collision along the highway in southwest Grady County, reports KSWO 7.
The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m. on US-81 near Valley View Road, just south of Ninnekah. This is about 49 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
Police say that a southbound vehicle collided with two vehicles that were stopped along the highway. Officials say the drivers had stopped to re-attach a trailer that had become disconnected.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, identified as William Smith of Ninnekah, sustained fatal injuries.
Medics transported the other two drivers to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
