Vinita man claimed in 2-vehicle crash near OK-28, S 4400 Rd

MAYES CO., OK – A 54-year-old Vinita man died Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in north-central Mayes County, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of OK-28 and South 4400 Road near Pensacola, Big Cabin, and Adair.
Police say the crash involved a 2023 Coach RV and a 2011 Ford F150. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the collision or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
The driver of the Ford, identified as Gregory Peacock, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics airlifted the driver of the RV to an area hospital with head and truck injuries; the severity of his injuries is unclear.
Two child passengers from the Ford were not hurt in the accident.
