A man from Watts is listed in stable condition after a single-vehicle accident Monday night.
According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 29 year-old Jeremy Corley was traveling north on U.S. 59 shortly before 7:30 p.m. Monday when the crash occurred. Authorities say Corley was driving his 2000 Ford Ranger pick-up truck when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the right of the roadway, went through a fence and struck an embankment.
A preliminary accident report lists the cause of the crash as exceeding the legal speed limit.
Corley was wearing a seat belt and the air bag did deploy. He sustained external injuries to his head and trunk. He was transported by Siloam Springs EMS to Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Arkansas following the crash.
