INOLA, OK (ROGERS COUNTY) – A woman and her infant son were critically injured Saturday in a home explosion in Rogers County, east of Tulsa, according to News 9.
The explosion happened Saturday afternoon in Inola, located about 14 miles east of Tulsa, and may have been caused by a gas leak.
Two victims, an 8-month-old boy and his 28-year-old mother were airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries, including severe burns. Their identities are not immediately available.
The blast sent shockwaves through neighboring homes in the area, which, according to one witness, felt as though a car had collided with his house.
Authorities continue to investigate the explosion.
