Woman dead, man critically injured in Bethany house fire

BETHANY, OK – A house fire thought to be connected to domestic violence was responsible for the death of one person and the injury of another in Bethany yesterday, according to News on 6.
The incident began yesterday afternoon near the intersection of N Penial Avenue and 26th Street at about 6 p.m.
Two people were rescued from the house fire, which was contained to a single room in the home.
One of those people, a woman, died of her injuries. The other, a man, was severely injured. Their identities have not been released at this time.
Police did not reveal details about the supposed domestic violence aspect of the blaze.
Authorities expect to know more on Monday after obtaining a search warrant.
