A woman has died following an Oklahoma car accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials with the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Department, 22 year-old Rebecca Lindsey was involved in a car accident near Hoffman Road and 290 Road shortly after 3:22 p.m. Tuesday. Lindsey was riding in a vehicle with 25 year-old Dallas Blair Wallace when the car left the roadway and struck a tree.

Lindsey was transported by helicopter to Saint John’s Hospital in Tulsa for treatment after the crash. Oklahoma state troopers said Lindsey was admitted in serious condition and pronounced dead later that night.

Lindsey was pinned in the car for an unknown amount of time and was freed by firefighters.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends.
