Woman in wheelchair hospitalized after crash at Lewis, 61st

TULSA, OK – A female pedestrian required hospitalization Wednesday morning when a vehicle struck her along a busy roadway in southeast Tulsa, reports News on 6.
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. at South Lewis Avenue and East 61st Street, which is at the northwest corner of Southern Hills Country Club.
Police say the victim was crossing the intersection in a wheelchair when a vehicle hit her while turning.
The woman, who has not been publicly identified, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities arrested the driver involved in the accident on unrelated charges pertaining to outstanding warrants.
