Woman killed, driver facing charges in early-morning hit-and-run in S Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A woman in Tulsa was killed while crossing the street early this morning by a driver who then fled the scene of the crime, according to News 9.
The accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. at the intersection of Peoria and 61st in south Tulsa. 61-year-old driver Alexis Lau allegedly struck a woman walking across the intersection.
The victim died of injuries sustained during the crash.
Lau allegedly failed to stop for the victim, but was later detained by Tulsa police and arrested for hit-and-run.
Lau was not reported as injured.
