Woman struck, killed on I-44 near MM 65 just east of Fletcher

COMANCHE CO., OK – One person died Sunday afternoon when a vehicle struck them along the interstate in northeast Comanche County, reports KSWO 7.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. along I-44 just east of Fletcher. This is near Little Washita Cemetery.

Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident. They say that Kreshardra “Kellie” Willhoite sustained fatal injuries when a vehicle hit her. It’s unclear if she was walking along the interstate or attempting to cross to the other side.

No other injuries have been been reported in connection to the accident, and authorities are not calling it a hit-and-run crash.
