Woman’s life claimed in collision near Perry involving bus with OSU softball team

NEAR PERRY, OK – A 62-year-old woman’s life was claimed in a collision involving a travel bus carrying the Oklahoma State University softball team near Perry on Wednesday.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol told The New York Times’ The Athletic that the 62-year-old woman was reportedly going in and out of traffic while driving on Interstate 35 when she struck the bus.
The woman died from her injuries, while the softball team was uninjured.
Officials said the bus was heading to a softball game against Wichita State University’s softball team at the time of the crash. That scheduled game has been postponed.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol broke the news to the victim’s family around midnight. As it stands, her name has yet to be released.
